    Description

    This is a stunning hand carved and hand painted brooch/pin by Artie George.  This creatively designed and collectible wood pin features a detailed profile of a salmon.  It is painted in black, red, green and gold colors.  The pin measures approximately 2.5 inches wide by approximately 2.5 inches long.  It contains an applied, locking pin clasp on the back.  It is hand signed on the back "Salmon by Artie George Canada".  Artie George is the great nephew of Chief Dan George and is a Coast Salish woodcarver.  He was born in 1970 in North Vancouver and is from the Tsleil-Waututh Nation (Burrard Band).  His art appears in collections all around the world including the Smithsonian Native American Museum in Washington DC.  Pin/Brooch is in great pre-owned condition.  I did not see any nicks or chips to the pin or it's finish.  Please see all photos for additional details.   Shipped with USPS priority mail.
